Wichita State University's Kansas Kids @ GEAR UP program provides educational resources to help middle and high school students succeed. With children in foster care as top priority, the program works to increase the number of students to graduate from high school and fully prepare them for enrollment in post-secondary education.

Application Procedure

Check Eligibility
Check the student’s eligibility to see if they can participate in the KKGU program. It’s a quick, easy step prior to filling out the application. Click the Begin Application button at the bottom of the page to get started.

Complete The Program Application
Complete the online application to get the process started. The application must be completed before the student can gain access to the KKGU programs and services. The application has a “save and retrieve” feature so you can complete it as time allows.

Submit the Online Program Application
Print the releases, sign them and submit to your KKGU Regional Coordinator
Download Releases

Receive confirmation
KKGU staff will notify you via email once the program application has been submitted.
